Cesenatico, a famous seaside resort of Romagna and the Adriatic Sea, has about 25,000 inhabitants in the winter but in summer more than 100,000. The most important event of the year is the famous bicycle race Nove Colli Cesenatico, which attracts thousands of tourists every year. The float section of the Maritime Museum of Cesenatico is situated in the oldest part of the harbor by Leonardo. There are ten exhibited traditional boats of the Adriatic Sea: two fishing boats, two luggers, a spear, a paranza, a mouse, a batana, a bragozzo offshore transport and a lugger. Among these, the lugger "small boat" and bragozzo "St. Nicholas" still navigate using the ancient seafaring techniques and participate in gatherings of vintage boats and racing history. All boats have been restored and equipped with their colorful sails on the third, each with its own distinctive pattern that identified the head of the family boat. Next to the floating section is being set up the new section to Earth, where they will be exposed in a charming boats and many other relics of the navy. The location in the historical city center makes the Museum of Cesenatico unique beauty and originality. A few meters away are moored vessels of today, and a little further you can visit the old fish market and the Piazza delle Conserve with old buildings that served to keep the fish before making artificial ice. The Maritime Museum of Cesenatico is created to illustrate and give testimony to the hard and dangerous work which underpins the origin of this city and its current prosperity. For these reasons it is not only a tourist attraction, or an opportunity for knowledge: it is the sign of the dignity of work, proof of the respect and gratitude that a city must have for the memory of its past.
